Door insect screen on MD-1 (Type 1, Type 2)
The door insect screen is mounted by means of hinges to the building façade or to the door frame. It has an opening handle and magnets retaining the insect screen in closed position and additionally a brush seal which maximally protects the room against the ingress of insects and dirt from outside. The comfort of use is increased by self-closing devices, which automatically close an open insect screen (option at extra cost).
Design of door insect screen on MD-1 profile (type 1, type 2)
The frame of the insect screen is made of extruded aluminium, making it resistant to bending and damage and providing rigid bracing when mounting the product. The inner corner of the insect screen is made of aluminium, while the net's mesh is made of glass fibre, standard grey colour, thanks to which the material does not dent or bend, effectively protecting against insects and dirt. Aluminium hinges are also standard on the insect screen.
Additionally, the door insect screen can come with a bottom brush profile, magnetic tape and aluminium hinges.
Custom-size insect screen
The size of an insect screen frame is selected individually to the size of the door and window. The lower door infill, which adds stability to the profile, has a fixed height of 170 mm. The maximum surface area of the insect screen is 2.76 m².
Type 1 insect screen has a 33 mm high internal transom and type 2 insect screen has a 66 mm high transom with an internal bracket. In both insect screen types the internal transoms are as standard mounted at a height of 967 mm to the axis, which can be adjusted.
Use and maintenance of insect screens
In order to extend the life of the insect screen it is necessary to remove and maintain it after every season.
