HST and PSK
Aluminium sliding doors are available in two lift-and-slide HST and tilt-and-slide PSK systems.
HST sliding doors are equipped with a sliding sash and a fixed sash. These sashes are positioned parallel to each other and staggered. The HST sliding door is opened by sliding the moving sash behind the fixed sash. The movable sash moves smoothly on rollers along a track hidden in the floor. HST sliding doors tilt by stopping the moving sash at any point and lowering it with the use of a handle. They do not take up any space inside the room when opened. Their prices are slightly higher than PSK tilt and slide patio doors.
PSK tilt and slide doors also do not take up any space in the room when they are opened. In the closed position, the door, or rather its wings (fixed and sliding wings) form a straight line. On the frame of the PSK sliding door there is a visible rail, along which the carriages move, fixed on the inner frame of the moving wing. These are concealed by special grilles. PSK sliding doors are opened by tilting and sliding the movable sash away from the threshold, and then sliding this sash along the rail in the guide at the bottom of the frame. The PSK system enables smooth and quiet sliding even with very heavy and large patio doors.
